Privacy Policy Statement
Data protection for aok.europaservice24.de
AOK protects personal data and provides information about which data is stored and how it is used. AOK complies with the legal provisions on data protection. That also applies for the EuropaPortal „aok.europaservice24.de“.
Protecting your data
It is important to us that you know at any time when we store which data and what we use it for. The input form (printed version) therefore also contains a specific data protection note as well as a note on the option of withdrawal.
Your browser automatically transmits data to our web server when accessing our online offers, specifically:
- date and time of the access,
- file accessed,
- internet address of the referring web page,
- browser type, language and version,
- operating system.
This data is evaluated for statistical purposes and for the improvement of our offer and subsequently deleted, unless otherwise specified by legal regulations.
Storage of IP addresses
On behalf of AOK, a hosting service provider collects data on every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files) in order to safeguard legitimate interests in accordance with point (f) of art. 6(1) GDPR. Access data includes the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of the access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited site), IP address and the provider making the request. Logfile information is stored for a maximum of seven days for technical reasons (ensuring the functionality and stability of the website) and for security reasons (e.g. to identify acts of abuse or fraud) and is then deleted. In addition, the IP addresses are stored during the backup for a maximum of four weeks and then deleted. Data that is required for further storage for the purposes of evidence is excluded from deletion until the final clarification of the incident in question. Full IP addresses are not transmitted. AOK does not record any IP addresses itself, and does not have access to them at any time. There is also no analysis of the data for marketing purposes in this context.
Use of cookies
The AOK uses technology known as cookies. Cookies are small files that are stored on your PC. Two different types of cookies are used: so-called session cookies (related to a session) and permanent cookies. The general session cookies do not contain personal data and expire at the end of the session. They are intended for control of the connection and navigation and enable you to easily use our internet offer.
Permanent cookies are not used when using the EuropaPortal for the AOK-EuropaService.
You can set your browser so that the saving of cookies is not allowed. For more information about these features, see your browser documentation or help file. Please note that if you disable the use of cookies, you may not be able to use some websites or parts of websites.
Data security and encryption
Whenever you are asked to enter personal information about yourself, your data is protected for data transmission over the internet by means of SSL encryption (TLS standard), so that it cannot be viewed by unauthorised persons.
